What is Miniature Commission Painting?
Miniature Commission Painting is paying someone else (here, me) to paint your wargames or board games miniatures for you. The process is simple enough. You have miniatures that you don’t want to, or don’t have time to paint – but you don’t want to play with unpainted miniatures. You get in touch with me, and we arrange how much and how quickly I paint your miniatures for you – but how does this work in detail?
How does Commission Painting Work?
- You get in touch with me, and we discuss your project.
- We agree on what you want your miniatures to look like, and a price. This includes whether I need to prep / assemble the miniatures, the colour scheme, the style and whether they will be based or not.
- We agree a time frame.
- You send me your miniatures.
- I assemble (if necessary) and paint your miniatures.
- I send you images of the finished project, and you send payment.
- When payment is received, I send you your miniatures.
What Factors Affect the Price of Wargames Commission Painting?
My aim in pricing your wargames commissions is to ensure that the overall price is worth it for both me and you. So, I take into account the following:
- Size of the miniature
- Style of painting requested
- Additional work – like freehand shields etc
- Basing – if required.
